Many of the trips are ideal for an introduction to sea kayaking and no experience is required to take part. Feel free to get in touch should you have any questions regarding a particular trip or location.
If you have a particular area in mind but the dates don’t suit please get in touch as it may be possible to offer you, or your group a bespoke trip at your chosen location. We look forward to paddling with new participants as well as returning clients from previous adventures.
This course will be based in the Spey Valley and the plan is to spend each day on an inland loch introducing kayaking skills.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in developing kayaking skills prior to taking part on one of the trips on the sea. No previous kayaking experience is required for this course.
We will base ourselves in Plockton and spend the 2 days exploring the coastline and islands of the Inner Sound. Plockton is a beautiful conservation village and has some great restaurants and numerous accommodation options, it is also a great location for kayak trips.
This area is rich in wildlife and stunning scenery. No previous experience is required for this course.
The plan for this weekend is to run 2 day trips in the Portknockie area. This is a lovely section of coastline for exploring by kayak and Bow Fiddle rock is one of its outstanding features. Would also recommend a visit to the ice cream shop in Cullen.
This course would be ideal for an introduction to sea kayaking and no previous experience is required to take part.
We will base ourselves at Port A Bhaige campsite at Altandhu and run a series of day trips exploring the local area. This location has so much to offer the sea kayaker, it is rich in wildlife, has lots of islands to visit and beautiful coastline to explore.
We will keep our daily paddling plan flexible to make the most of the prevailing weather forecast.
The plan for this trip is to base ourselves at the campsite in Staffin and run a series of day trips exploring the local area.
This is a great location for sea kayaking with interesting tides around the headlands, caves, cliffs and an abundance of bird and marine life.
This trip would be appropriate for returning clients or those with previous sea kayaking experience.
The plan for this trip is to base ourselves in Shieldaig and run a series of day trips exploring the local area. Shieldaig is an absolutely stunning location for sea kayaking.
This is also a great location for wildlife spotting, just off the village is Shieldaig island with its resident pair of sea eagles. Along with the eagles, we often see otters, porpoise and seals when paddling here.
The plan for this trip is to base ourselves at the campsite in Scourie and run a series of day trips exploring the local area.
Based here gives us easy access to the Island of Handa, Loch laxford to the north and to the south Kylesku and Eddrachillis Bay. This trip would be approriate for clients with previous sea kayaking experience.
This area offers us some great opportunities for sea kayak trips, we will base ourselves at a campsite north of Lochinver and run a series of day trips exploring the local area.
This is a stunning location for kayaking with the Old Man of Stoer, Clashnessie Bay and Oldany island all close to hand.
Barra is often described as the Hebrides in miniature and for the sea paddler it has all the ingredients to make for the perfect paddling location, stunning sandy beaches exposed coastlines and numerous islands to explore.
The plan for this one is to keep our paddling plan flexible to make the most of the prevailing weather, this trip would be appropriate for returning clients or those with previous sea kayaking experience.
This is a great paddling venue situated just off the west coast of Mull. It is a haven for wildlife, with otters, porpoise, seals and even sea eagles being regularly spotted. Another classic of this trip is the island of Staffa and Fingals cave.
This is a 4 day camping based expedition and the trip would be appropriate for returning clients or those with previous sea kayaking experience.
The plan for this trip is to spend time exploring the coastline from Stonehaven south to Arbroath. We will base ourselves at the campsite in Johnshaven which gives good access to the coast both north and south.
There is some great sea kayaking to be had in this area and we will run a series of day trips choosing our daily paddling location to make the most of the prevailing forecast.
The plan for this trip is to meet up in Mallaig on the Monday morning and after loading our kayaks with our camping equipment we will make our way round into Loch Nevis.
We will find a remote campsite for our first nights camp in the heart of Loch Nevis. Our next campsite will be at long beach which allows us easy access to the small hamlet of Inverie.
The Small Isles are an archipelago of islands in the Inner Hebrides. They lie south of Skye and North of Ardnamurchan. This will be a 5 day camping expedtion starting on the mainland near Arisaig and weather permitting we will paddle across to Eigg and from here explore as much of the area as weather and time allow.
Previous sea kayaking experience required for this trip.
The Sound of Arisaig is a great location for exploring by sea kayak, it is a Marine Special Area of Conservation (MSAC) and it is rich in both bird and marine life. This trip will be a mixture of campsite and remote camping as this gives us the greatest opportunity to explore the area.
We will keep our daily paddling plan flexible to allow for the prevailing weather.
This is an absolutely stunning area for sea kayaking, It is one of the best locations in the UK to introduce participants to tidal planning. This will be a 4 day camping based expedition as this format gives us the greatest flexibility to allow for tides and the prevailing weather.
This trip would be appropriate for returning clients or those with previous kayaking experience.
The plan for this trip is to run a 6 day expedition exploring the coastline of North Harris and South Lewis. This is a rugged section of coast with minimal road access and sea lochs which stretch far inland.
This area is rich in wildlife and given its remoteness would be appropriate for participants with previous sea kayaking experience.
The plan for this trip is to spend time exploring the coastline and islands on the NW side of Lewis. We will base ourselves at Cnip campsite, Traigh Na Beirigh bay for the trip.
This is a stunning location for sea paddling, it's rich in wildlife with otters, seals and porpoise all spotted regularly whilst padling in this area.

Raasay & Rona are a lovely island chain nestled in the Inner Sound between Skye and the Applecross peninsula. This is a great area for exploring by sea kayak it has a remote feel about it and offers us plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities.
This will be a 5 day camping expedition and would be appropriate for returning clients or those with previous kayaking experience.
The chain of islands that comprise North Uist, Benbecula and South Uist often appear to be formed more of water than land. This lends itself perfectly for exploring by kayak, with its numerous inlets and bays on the east side and long sandy beaches on the west.
We will run a series of day trips exploring this stunning paddling venue.
This is a great area for sea kayaking with the Cuillin mountains providing a stunning backdrop for the trip. We will spend our time exploring Loch Scavaig and weather permitting have a paddle round the Island of Soay which lies just off the shore.
This will be a 4 day camping expedition and would be appropriate for returning clients or those with previous kayaking experience.
The plan for this trip is to base ourselves at Port Mor campsite and run a series of day trips around the island.
Sea kayaking is an excellent way to explore the fantastic coastline which Islay has to offer. With it’s dramatic cliffs, hidden coves and stunning sandy beaches along with an abundance of marine and birdlife, there’s plenty to keep us occupied over the 5 day trip.
The plan for this trip is to run a 4 day expediton style trip exploring as much of the area as weather and client ability allows. This location has so much to offer the sea kayaker, it is rich in wildlife, has lots of islands to visit and beautiful coastline to explore.

This is an excellent area for sea kayaking, it offers a great coastline, sheltered bays, amazing views all around and an abundance of wildlife.
Being campsite based allows us to choose each days paddling venue to make the most of this stunning location.
The plan for this trip is to run 4 day trips exploring the coastline and islands in the Glencoe / Lynn of Lorn area. Highlights include exploring the islands of Loch Leven and further south to the north end of Lismore and castle Stalker.
As always, we will keep our daily paddling plan flexible to make the most of the prevailing weather.
The plan for this weekend is to run 2 day trips on the Moray Firth. This area is rich in wildlife and if lucky we may get a sighting of the resident dolphin population which are regularly spotted off Chanonry point.
This course would be ideal for an introduction to sea kayaking and as well as looking for wildlife we will introduce kayaking skills throughout the weekend.
This course is for participants who may have previously come on one of our trips and want to focus more on boat handling skills. We will continue to work on/refine skills as well as introducing some new ones over the course of the weekend.
We will spend day 1 on an inland Loch in the Aviemore area and then head for the Moray coast on day 2.
End of season trip:
As per previous seasons we usually have a hotel based long weekend for a little luxury to look forward to after a day on the water.
Have yet to finalise location, but am always open to venue suggestions from those regulars that make up the participants for this trip.
